In a Simple Phrase

If I could give you my life story
in a simple phrase,
it would be to say, "I love you,
let me count the ways!"

I know that I am not the first
to sing love's song to you,
but the inspiration of it
never were more true!

Allow my spirit to behold you
as when we were one.
Lover of a thousand faces,
know my story done!
