Struck dumb by the fire
consuming life and soul,
manifest desire
makes the spirit whole.

What explains the power
denying me of speech?
Eternity, an hour
your presence lay in reach!

I saw the nexus open,
responding to my call.
But my fear was too potent,
where love surrenders all!
